NIRS got through the information protection management status evaluation process of an external professional institution over the general operation of the major information systems of national institutions in charge and obtained the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Personal Information & Information Security Management System (ISMS-P) certifications.

NIRS has been maintaining the G-ISMS certification every year until now since acquiring it for the first time in 2010, and since 2019, ISMS-P is also being renewed.

In particular, starting this year, NIRS plans to improve the management system and strengthen prior inspections to upgrade the level of personal information protection management practice. In addition, it is also planned to focus on managing a number of common administrative services such as GVPN by including them as one of the key issues for ISMS-P review.
