President Kim was participated in "Public Big Data Analysis Contest 2018" held on August 31st, 2018 at Government Complex Seoul as a judge and an awarder.

She mentioned at her general remark,
"There are lots of passionate and smart people who are interested in practicing Public Big Data. I could see that from the enrolled projects such as 'The ways to find safe roads for the physically challenged or novice drivers', 'A proposal for locations and feasibility study of public shelters against sultry weather', and more.

We are making our best efforts to stimulate exercising Big Data which is considered as the basis for the era of Digital Transformation.
We will keep working on challenging ourselves to provide relevant government services through the transformation so that many people can actually feel it in their daily lives.".


* Public Big Data Analysis Contest : The event invites citizen to enhance efficiency of Government Services by having them analyze Big Data to resolve current public issues.
It is organized by Ministry of Interior and Safety (MoIS) and National Information Society Agency (NIA) and supported by Korea Big Data Society.
