NIRS hosted 'The 4th Big Data Analysis Competition for Government Officials' and awarded best practices at Busan Metropolitan City Hall on June 28th, 2019.

10 finalists out of 46 original contestants made presentations about their own Big Data analysis practice which displayed each region's characteristic features.
Among them, Jeju Island's 'Analysis to find optimal locations of street lamps to prevent traffic accident overnight' won the best prize.

President Kim remarked that it was meaningful for the platform 'Hye-ahn' to be extensively known and practiced through the event. She also mentioned that it is expected for proof based policy making government administration with Big Data to be widely spread to win people's trust and understanding.
